Titanfall 2 giới thiệu phần chơi đơn hấp dẫn, cùng với Battlefield 1 đang là hai sản phẩm chủ lực của EA đang chờ ra mắt trong dịp cuối năm nay.

Quyết tâm "phục thù" sau khi phiên bản đầu tiên không đạt được thành công như mong đợi, Respawn Entertainment cùng EA đang rất nỗ lực để thu hút sự chú ý của game thủ với Titanfall 2. Thay vì chỉ bao gồm vỏn vẹn 3 loại robot như trước, trò chơi hứa hẹn sẽ mang đến cho người chơi nhiều lựa chọn hơn với tổng cộng là 9 Titan tính đến thời điểm hiện tại, 6 trong số đó vừa mới được giới thiệu trong một đoạn trailer hấp dẫn công bố vào ngày hôm qua.

Miêu tả của đội ngũ phát triển Respawn Entertainment về các loại robot mới như sau:

Tone: Loại Titan sử dụng vũ khí chủ yếu là các loại chất nổ.
Northstar: Northstar có khả năng bay lượn rất cơ động nhưng bù lại người chơi cần phải ngắm bắn thật chính xác mới phát huy hết hiệu quả.
Legion: Legion sở hữu nhiều đòn tấn công chiến lược tầm xa và phù hợp với vai trò phòng thủ, kiểm soát thế trận.
Ronin: Như tên gọi, loại Titan này sở hữu khả năng cận chiến cực kì mạnh mẽ với thanh kiếm kim loại lớn gợi liên tưởng tới các samurai Nhật Bản xưa kia.
Ion: Ion sử dụng khả năng kiểm soát năng lượng của mình để điều khiển tới 3 loại vũ khí cùng lúc.
Scorch: Đây là loại Titan sử dụng lửa để phòng thủ cũng như tấn công.

Điểm khác biệt lớn nhất giữa Titanfall 2 và người tiền nhiệm của nó có lẽ nằm ở việc trò chơi sẽ có phần chơi mạng với cốt truyện rõ ràng thay vì chắp vá, trộn lẫn cùng multiplayer như phiên bản đầu tiên. Bạn vào vai một người lính mang tên Jack Cooper - phi công điều khiển Titan mang mã số BT-7274. Bộ đôi này được cử đến một hành tinh xa lạ với nhiệm vụ chiến đấu chống lại tổ chức Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation cũng như các sinh vật ngoài Trái Đất đang tồn tại ở nơi đây.
